Protection from Discrimination Commission
The Protection from Discrimination Commission is the special state equality body in Bulgaria which considers complaints on all grounds and in all fields of public and private sector – education, employment, goods and services, etc. You may file a complaint before it within 3 years’ period after the alleged violation against you had happened. The Commission: estimates the violation, the perpetrator and the victim; determines the type and the size of the sanction; applies administrative measures or estimates that the violation did not take place. Its decisions may be appealed before the administrative court.
