The official language in administrative proceedings in Bulgaria is the Bulgarian language.
This means that the Bulgarian language will be used in the trial. All court documents, including protocols of hearings and judgment will also be prepared in Bulgarian. Your submissions and evidence to the court must also be in Bulgarian or translated into Bulgarian.
If you do not speak or understand Bulgarian sufficiently, you can ask the court for an interpreter. The interpreter will not be free of charge if you have started the administrative proceedings. The interpreter must help you to participate in court proceedings and to familiarize yourself with the case materials.
