The Consumer Protection Commission (CPC) is a Bulgarian state institution, which controls compliance with consumer protection rules in Bulgaria. It is a collegial body under the Minister of Economy with regional units on the territory of the country.

How can it help you

If you believe the your rights as a consumer are being violated, you can file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Commission. You can complain about any matter related to your rights as a consumer and against any violators of these rights except for district heating companies, electricity distribution companies, water and sewerage operators, grocery traders and cosmetics dealers, which are subject of control of other state bodies. On the CPC website, you can get more information to whom you can direct your complaints in cases of violations by these entities. Whatever the case, the CPC will redirect your complaint to the appropriate authority. The CPC will investigate your complaint and may impose coercive administrative measures and administrative sanctions in the cases provided for by the law. You can lodge a complaint with the Commission either personally at one of the regional centers of the Commission or via the electronic complaint form from the CPC website.
